I corrected my map by walking 51st! The things I accidentally marked off are now done.

The bad news is that I walked some streets ... not on this map? They aren't new ones either. I think it's a case of maps having deliberate errors to catch copyright infringement. It's annoying, but also amusing. We have this idea that even inch of the Earth is mapped and accounted for and actually mapping is a mess. We still have plenty of what Neil Gaiman calls soft places.

I walked about 7 miles today, and immediately offset it by destroying the pineapple fried rice I picked up from a food cart on my way home.

My (hopefully) good pictures are on my camera stuff, but here are some things that amused me that might not amuse anyone else:

I passed a lot with old, rusting volvos. Some look to be from the 80s. One had this bumper sticker:

I laughed because that's a mood. (This was a slogan of people looking forward to voting out G.W. Bush.)

And Portland's ... second smallest park?

Mill Ends in Portland is the smallest park in the world. This random art installation popped up in Montavilla with a ... wooden Excalibur?

Portland is so amazing to me. A tiny park! I love it.
