Dragon Age Hype

Dragon Age 4 hype is starting. People are all happy and stuff, but with that EA has been pulling and how badly Bioware has been fumbling everything I can't get excited. I want Deep Roads and a playersexual Elf. I want to take a week with a new RPG and a pile of food supplies.

The last Dragon Age was 2014? Man, that was several eras ago. I might replay DA:I just to pretend I'm back there.

I haven't read any of the DA4 hype yet, must do this week! I loved the first three games though I was unhappy they took away the Spirit Healer build in DAI (Spirit Healer mage was 99% of my previous playthroughs bar one Dwarf rogue in Origins).

Do you gave a favourite character build?

Fandom though always steered clear of due to the drama.

I usually play a thief of some sort. It's book so long I don't remember builds. I just remember that until you got a certain trait for Iron Bull he was stupidly glassy.

Cool, thief is fun! Oh yes, Iron Bull is ridiculously fragile until you get I think his Specialisation? Or other traits. Not good for my already fragile mage needing protection 😂 (thank goodness for Blackwall & Cassandra).

I never backed away from a fandom so fast...seriously, Mass Effect & DA fandoms give me the shivers. Any fic I post to them in the future I will lock to my journal I think!

If I ever finish my Adoribull fic I'll post it, but hey comment deletion is a thing these days!

The drama in Bioware is so bad. There is a theory of fandom drama that states that long irregular hiatuses lead to high drama (video games series, star wars, any canon having a surprise continuation years later.) That's doesn't fully explain how nuts Bioware fandom is, but the theory seems to pan out.
