* I finally got a chance to play some Phasmaphobia. The game has great mechanics, even if certain things could use a lot of polish. It's still in early access. If they add the ability to pimp out that lobby into a nice ghost hunting HQ I will play it a dumb amount.
You have to use game controls to get to the part that tells you about the game controls. The walkthrough online has an error so ... You need a guide to use the YT walkthrough to complete the tutorial. That is some amazing UX. It should win some sort of award.
Still, it's a great game and more things are being added to it. I really enjoy it.
* I went hiking today with some people I know. Literally my first in person social thing since February. Fucking hell. It was a good time. I don't know the people who went terribly well, but hey it was an opportunity to get out and safely socialize so I went for it.
* I really want to get some photography done down in Oregon City, but it's a punishing bus ride. I'd been thinking of nabbing a AB&B for a few days just for a change of scenery and to get the shots there in the bag. Maybe as a replacement for my usual post-holiday get away. I usually plan something in early Jan and use looking forward to it and prepping for it as a way to get through the holidays.
And an arsonist went and burned down one of the things I want to shoot down there. Fucking 2020. Still, all the more reason to go and shoot what is there. It's a brutal bus trip, but pretty close by car. I could just Lyft down there with windows open and the whole trip should be safer than a grocery store run. I'll think about it and see how the next few weeks shake out.
