I still have some things to do, but I posted a few completed images to a Kane related FB group to sort of test the waters.
I got a bunch of messages telling me to watermark them to make clear they're mine. Which was so sweet! And, they are right. When I complain about having had people take my stuff and claim it as theirs, I am mostly talking about a subset of these. Also, if they get shared and my photography website name gets shared around, bonus. That could actually be really good site promo for me.
However, this does create a few more speedbumps.
One - I haven't watermarked anything in like 10 years. I need to find good workflow for watermarking so it doesn't take me forever.
Two - Watermark with what? I don't have a logo for my photography stuff. I will get one eventually, but not yet. Once you have branding, it needs to be consistent. So, before I get a proper logo I wanted to pick a font and just put my name in that font, and commit to that font forever... foreverish at least. I am bad with fonts, but I am happy with what I found. It needs to be distinct without being distracting and not over-used.
Texturina Font:

The 3rd one, I am really feeling it. It's the right balance. I am pretty happy with committing to that font.
Also, one of my pictures:

One of the artifacty messes that was popular in the FB group when I posted:

And I was legit nervous posting. I was worried they might find my pictures weak and boring compared to ... that. Most of what I see on FB is horribly artifacted. Terrible data hygiene. Like, remaking the screencaps would not be hard...
Anyway, their reaction and all the people telling me to watermark was very sweet.
