* I am 99% better, bit the gunk has left me with a bit of a cough from the irritation. I am 99% sure it's just a non-contagious upper respiratory thingie, but I don't want to seem like a jerk so overdue haircut is post-poned again.

* glares at BA2 variant news I swear if you cancel the nerdcore concert I'm going to I'm giving up on RL and will no-life Guild Wars 2, just mentally date Faren and Yao... Buy a Flowbee...

I'm not actually that worried. Even if it's moderately bad, I think at this point people will just carry on. But, we'll see. Though, I am glad I decided against going to Escapade.

There is nothing currently out there that will drag me on a plane or into a movie theater. I mean, things could happen that would change my mind, but nothing currently exists.

* Don't have much else to say because I had a very unproductive weekend and feel very blerg about that. Though, maybe I was run down by my body trying to finish off this annoying bleck.

Glad you're feeling better.

I'm still wearing masks in public and avoiding crowds, but I have some medical issues that put me at higher risk, so it's wise to be extra cautious. People around here have mostly forgotten Covid exists.

In some grocery stores here wearing masks is common. It varies a lot. I am not going into a convenience store without a mask for a long time.

I live in the South, so mask-wearing is rare now. Even most of the store employees have stopped. Used to stick out when someone wasn't wearing one - now it sticks out when someone is.

That sucks. I hope wearing one doesn't feel too awkward. There is way too much tension over the issues, online at least.

It's a bit, but I'm not letting that stop me. I feel like this is a perfect time to get it, when everyone is letting their guards down. I've been really lucky so far, and I want to keep it that way.

I've had a nervous eye on the BA2 news, too. I don't have any plans it's likely to throw off if it does turn into a Thing, but I'd still rather it just... not.
