After a lot of careful consideration, I realized that going to the show would be dumb. Just, coming off of a major migraine, etc... just a bad life choice.
Anyway here's one crappy cell phone pic of I took at the show!
Too many things I'd been looking forward to have gone poof. I've been into the nerdcore since like 2005. I've never been to a show. This is also the ideal tour for me, with STD as the headliner rather than him opening for Lars or someone I am meh on. Also, STD can't do most of his most popular material when he's the opening act because, uh, his age rating is a bit higher than most nerdcore acts.
It was just really good to be out with people who really like the niche thing I like. It's too bad it wasn't more of a social thing, but it was fun to scream along to Lex's 'I'm an artist and I hate myself' song. Which, to be clear, is what you are supposed to do. I wasn't just randomly screaming. I was appropriately screaming.
Also, what is it with all nerd music acts having like half their songs having call and response or being sing alongs? Both nerdcore and nerdfolk are like that.
I did take some pics with my real camera. I'll see if any are good tomorrow. I could have gotten some great ones, but I wanted to camp my seat. Going to events solo can be a problem, especially with not enough sitting places. I did ditch my seat and my camera bag to dance to the last song, though.
