Tonight was the Murderboat 'everyone's belated birthday party event', but the closer it finally the more I was seeing plans for strobe lights and edible confetti. I have a severe food dye allergy and am photo-sensitive. Also, we've got an atmospheric river going on and it was supposed to pour so I'd have to wear a jack to a hot, sweaty event and going outside would be... I'll walk for 7 hours in the rain no problem but how I dress for that is not compatible with an event like this.
So I went to Night Market instead. I didn't buy much or take many pictures. After I went to Sizzle Pie and ate and did some writing. Sizzle Pies tend to gave an 80s metal/D&D aesthetic so it's good for what I am writing, and also they have the best vegan pies in town. Then I walked for a few hours and went to Schilling Cider House and ... drank and wrote. The vanilla cider was weak, but the lavender honey one was excellent. Then I walked some more. I didn't take many pictures. I've shot the Night Market before and the decor was a bit weak this time. Tho, honestly the 'cascading up-side-down umbrella' theme they did the first time I went is still the best before theme they've done. The promo images had a lot of rainbows so I want sort of hoping for more of a pride theme or some local vendors with pride shirts because I need something for next weekend. I am going to Pride this year... but that is a separate post.
One of the photo areas at Night Market this time was 'Y2K Bedroom':

Maybe someday I'll go with someone so I can do some of the photo set ups. But, meh, not really one I am sad I missed. Amusing, but not my vibe.
I need to find someone to drag out to Crush and Doug Fir. I haven't been to Doug Fir in ages and it's my favorite bar in this town. (which, to be clear, makes me a giant poser but I don't care). I pass both tonight and was like... eh, not alone and not in my rain photographer outfit.

Sounds like it was a good night, and probably a better time than strobe lights and allergens.
