I got the cable I needed but this back up is such a mess I've had to restart it again. I've set both the phone and laptop to Do Not Sleep Ever and am moving the data in small batches and can't leave oh my god I can't leave these devices for a bio break even...

...sadly, that could very well be exactly what it is. There are a lot of "bad designs" that are intended simply to steer you toward whatever alternative they want to foist on you. And it's bad! The future should be better!
