Normally, I start these post with some pics I think are eye-catching to help lure people into clicking that cut tag... Not this time. This time I am starting with a visual explanation of 'navigating Alameda Ridge at night'. This is not the only way though, but the ways without stairs are nearly as steep in parts so this is the easiest and most direct way:



If you like urban hiking, you can do the Alameda Ridge Route where you hit all the stairs deliberately. I've done it a few times, but not recently.

It's enjoyable, and involves looking at things that I love to see... but personally it gets to be a bit much on the "I wish I could have that and probably never will" scale.
