The Winchesters season finale

That felt like a series finale. That felt like a 'welp, we got no chance of getting renewed so let's exposition dump!' Then they just hand-waved the big sacrifice by one the characters because they don't want to leave the loose end of her dying.

Then the montage that super like trying to wrap things up.

A baby blue version of The Impala? For the kinder, gentler John who knows what therapy is? ok...

But, honestly, major points for doing their best to wrap things up and try to squish that into a complete story rather than having unresolved plot points forever. No cliffhanger just to make there be more buzz for the IP.

Kind of a bummer, but also I do respect them for not trying to use a cliffhanger for attention. It's a shame this series just kind of seemed like it couldn't quite decide what it was.

Yeah, most of the episode is just tidying up everything they can and then some. It's really classy of them.

I appreciate that they made the effort to do that. It may not make for the objectively best *episode*, but I appreciate the fact that it still meant they were trying to tell a complete story.

It's a bummer the show couldn't ever get to be whatever it could have been best. (I'm not sure I know what that would have been! Or that they did! But it's a shame they didn't get the chance.)
