* I actually finished BG3! Part of why this took so long is that there are a lot of things you can do to make encounters easier and I did none of them. I also did the playthrough blind, even learning mechanics as I went. The only times I looked stuff up was when I was all "I can't figure out what input the game wants... oh clicking the pedestal and clicking on the exact center of the pedestal give different options"

My ending save state:

* Astarion is hiding from sunlight and we are going to keep adventuring together in hopes of finding a way to give him back the daylight and all the colors. He is romanced, good, unascended. He was in my party for the Cazador fight, which is much for difficult.

* Halsin is off starting his new grove and is dreaming of me visiting him. He is also romanced, but off living his own life.

* RIP Shadowheart and Lae'zel. I like Shadowheart and I found getting approval from her really easy, right up until the Nightsong thing when it was 'her or me'.

* Not a single tadpole was eaten.

* RIP Gale. I'd like to save him, but from an RP perspective he had a sure fire way to save the city and make sure that the mindflayers don't rise again... risking that for one person is dumb, especially when the person is begging you to let them. It suited his storyline.

* RIP Orpheus, I'm sure Balduran found your brain very tasty.

* Did not respec anyone due to RP reasons, even though putting Shadowheart to Light Cleric and Astarion to Ranger is Super Effective from what I've heard.

I am satisfied with this save state. I got Astarion, didn't give into Illithid stuff, etc.

Things to do in my new playthrough:

* Shadowheart's full storyline

* Recruit Karlach before Wyll

* Save Orpheus.

* Full clear on Iron Throne / save Ollemium

* Rescue Minsc

* Higher approval from both Astarion and Halsin

* Is it possible to save Rolan?

* Karlach in the party as much as possible. I adore her, but kept having to swap her out. Since I'm going ranger next time it will be easier one party balance to keep her, or I could respec her. First playthrough was no respecs.

* Do the Grymforge fight

* Do the full Barcus Wroot storyline. I wound up backed into a corned with the slaves storyline when a long rest would end it the bad way, but I also could no do the fight without one. It was lose out there or redo hours of gameplay. I decided to take my lumps and not savescum that much, but next time him and all his people and his friend will be saved.

* Lots of minor things like a few book-related things I didn't figure out. Will use guides on replay if I need to.

* Not bothering with the hidden fish people village I found, optional spider level, optional island area south of swamp, etc.

* Run into Astarion's siblings in the open world... it was a quest objective to do so but I could not find where.
