threeforthememories post and questioning everything about my photography. One thing that is interesting is that things I typically shoot I do a better job of than other stuff. I don't really stress getting iconic shots when traveling because I figure that locals who had this as part of their usual stomping grounds would do a better job anyway. And yeah, I shoot Oregon way better than I shoot Illinois.
* Looking back at this shots I did some stuff and put in some miles this year if nothing else.
* As big as the Honey controversy has gotten, I feel that the fact that Honey was purchased by Paypal for 4 Billion is not being fully addressed. If it was worth they much, they intended to make more than that by sniping affiliate money. That is money directly out of the pockets of creators. A lot of people who would have had viable careers in content creation wound up not doing so.
They were taking a cut of most online shopping for 20 million users and they had a heavy focus on advertising to people who buy tech stuff and buy merch online. Even if it was just 300 bucks from each a year, that's 6 Bill a year taken out of the pockets of people who make content. It's now down to 17 million users and hopefully it was drop a lot more, people who they advertise to and would even install a browser extension are very likely to be in the loop and drop it. But still, damn. That's at least a few careers.
